Our mission is to provide rural/Appalachian educators with the technology resources needed to expand local worldviews to ensure the academic, social, political, economic, and vocational success of the students in today’s classrooms. One of the goals of the Got Dirt virtual learning community is to help teachers understand and properly utilize technology to prepare students for active, democratic participation in a diverse society and interdependent world. To be successful leaders tomorrow, today’s students must be educated with a global worldview mind. Technology can be the key to the expansion of these worldviews into a more global perspective.
